FOR OIL & GAS, LNG & LPG EQUIPMENT INTEGRATORS

Select the relief architecture around the pressure, temperature, gas service and package constraints.

HHSV supports equipment and skid integrators with sizing, configuration review, traceability, testing and project documentation for high-pressure, gas, low-temperature and packaged-system duties.

INTEGRATION RISKS

Eight constraints can change the final valve or system configuration.

PRESSURE

High pressure

Operating/set pressure, required capacity and connection class must be checked against the selected model’s actual range.

TEMPERATURE

Cryogenic / low-temperature service

Confirm the minimum design/relieving temperature, material toughness and selected-series capability; do not apply a company-wide low-temperature limit to every model.

TIGHTNESS

Gas tightness

Gas service increases the importance of seat condition, operating margin and the specified leakage/test acceptance basis.

OUTLET

Backpressure

Review constant/variable outlet pressure and discharge-system behavior before choosing conventional, balanced-bellows or pilot architecture.

MATERIAL

Material compatibility

Match body, trim, bellows and sealing materials to the actual medium, temperature and project material specification.

PACKAGE

Limited installation space

Confirm envelope dimensions, inlet/outlet orientation, maintenance access and piping loads before freezing the skid layout.

PROJECT

Documents & inspection

Define datasheets, drawings, MDR, inspection and third-party witness requirements before manufacture.

SCHEDULE

Delivery milestones

Separate material lead time, manufacturing, inspection/witness and document-release milestones when they drive delivery.

SIZING & CONFIGURATION REVIEW

Start from seven service inputs—not from the valve family name.

01

Medium

Gas, vapor, liquid, LNG/LPG or other actual service medium and relevant properties.

02

Required capacity

Credible relief case and required relieving load.

03

Operating / set pressure

Normal/max operating pressure, set pressure and required operating margin.

04

Temperature

Operating and relieving temperature, including low-temperature conditions.

05

Backpressure

Superimposed/variable outlet pressure and expected built-up backpressure.

06

Connection

Size, rating, face/type, inlet/outlet orientation and package interface.

07

Material

Body/trim/seal/bellows material requirements tied to medium and temperature.

PRODUCT / SYSTEM OPTIONS

Use each architecture for the problem it actually solves.

PILOT-OPERATED

Pilot-Operated Safety Relief Valves

Evaluate pilot/main-valve architecture for service conditions where its operating characteristics and actual model range are appropriate.

SPRING-LOADED

Conventional / Balanced Bellows

Balanced bellows are a spring-loaded configuration used to reduce the influence of outlet backpressure; they are not the same function as a Back-Flow Safety Valve.

VACUUM PROTECTION

Vacuum & Breather Valves

Use dedicated negative-pressure or breathing products for tank/equipment inbreathing/outbreathing duties rather than applying positive-pressure valve data.

SYSTEM LAYER

Protection Systems & Accessories

Quick crossover devices, rupture-disc combinations or other accessories are evaluated at the system level and linked to the actual safety-valve duty.

LOW-TEMPERATURE CONTROL & PROJECT EVIDENCE

Trace the materials, test scope and documents to the actual supplied configuration.

LOW TEMPERATURE MATERIAL AND VALVE INSPECTION · IMAGE
TRACEABILITY

Low-temperature material traceability

For applicable low-temperature products, maintain material/heat and valve identification records to the order scope; material suitability must be confirmed for the selected series and temperature.

INSPECTION

Testing & third-party witnessing

Execute the specified inspection/performance-test scope with third-party witness or hold points where required by the approved ITP/order.

SUBMITTAL

Datasheets & drawings

Control service data, selected configuration, dimensions/connections and applicable compliance information through the approved technical submittal.

FINAL FILE

MDR

Compile the agreed material, inspection, test, conformity and final drawing/document records applicable to the delivered equipment package.

INTEGRATOR WORKFLOW

Freeze the relief basis before freezing the skid layout.

01

Service data

Provide medium, capacity, pressures, temperature, backpressure, connections and materials.

02

Sizing

Establish calculation basis and required relieving area/capacity.

03

Configuration review

Confirm valve architecture, dimensions, orientation, materials and package integration constraints.

04

Approval & inspection plan

Close drawings/documents, certification scope, deviations and third-party/ITP requirements.

05

Manufacture, test & release

Control manufacture, inspection/testing, MDR completion and shipment milestones to the approved order scope.

DUBAI · PETROCHEMICAL

Pilot-Operated Safety Valves

HHSV supplied pilot-operated safety valves in volume for high-pressure gas-pipeline overpressure protection in a Dubai petrochemical project. Selection priorities included precise set-pressure behavior, stable discharge, small blowdown and seat tightness.

This is high-pressure gas project evidence; it is not presented as an LNG project and its unpublished pressure, temperature, material and quantity details are not reconstructed.

MODEL-LEVEL LIMITS

Do not turn one model’s data into a product-family claim.

Size, pressure, temperature, material, backpressure, leakage/testing and certification limits must be checked against the selected series/model and actual certificate scope. “Designed in accordance with,” “tested in accordance with” and “certified to” remain separate statements.
